Re: ................. Are there Rules in the Afterlife? .............

November 6, 2009 by whitelight

Hi Angela,
I think it is possible to be temporarily confused immediately after a sudden unexpected death. I do not believe the confusion lasts longer then moments however. Obviously this is simply my opinion, as is anyone's explanation of the afterlife. There is no way to know for sure. I only know what spirits have told me, and the rest is based on faith. There is no right or wrong to grieving, and you are not stopping the natural order of things (in my opinion). Loved ones we have lost can move on when they want to, even if family is still grieving. That said, they often feel responsible to the ones they have left behind, and stand watch to make sure everyone will be ok. There are no black and white formulas for this and why people stay behind is as complex as the lives we live.

A "better place" means different things to different people and is based on some sort of faith or belief system. You mentioned that you are a "christian" and typically "christians" believe in an afterlife without pain and supreme love.
Your posts are very heartfelt and it is very clear that your children are the very world to you. You are right in that counselors and others who have never lost a child can never really know the depth of this tragedy. Does this minimize the guidance, love and wisdom they provide? Only you can answer this question.
I wish peace and a unburdened spirit for you this day,
~W

Re: some please help

October 30, 2009 by whitelight

Hey Rookie~
Anything happen recently? I was wondering if anything has changed in your life in the past month or so before you had these experiences? House construction? new antique furniture, or old photo, recent death in the family?
In my opinion, spirits are everywhere, so it is not unusual they show up from time to time. Most people never even notice. People on the sensitive side tend to notice.
Because we are human, we will be startled when unexpected events occur but try hard not let fear take over.
Its your house. As the man of the house, you have a lot of power. Ask yourself what you would do if a living stranger was disturbing you/family? Don't be afraid to put your foot down.

I usually try to discourage people from doing their own EVP work. It takes practice and a wee bit of ear training, and can unfortunately aggravate the activity.
If you need help, do not hesitate to contact our group.

Scotty~
I know this is months later, but thought I'd post my thoughts.
Do you think there is a possibility that your Dad unknowingly did this? I say this because years ago I found a book of stamps in my refrigerator. (What the H ---?!) Found out later, that I had gotten up in the night (fully still asleep), and put them there myself! That I know of, I've never done this before or since.

I think electrical objects are extremely easy for spirits to manipulate, so although it could be a power surge, it also could be spirit activity, especially if it continues.

Re: My Son's Room once Again Active! Very Active!

Hey Mainemom~
I believe that people who are gifted can unknowingly, (or knowingly) attract spirits everywhere they go.
As a result, I have set a few rules for the "company".
* not in my house; we just have to much to do, and too many earthly responsibilities to deal with this behavior. Your house has to be a ghost-free zone, otherwise you will never get a break. Even though your house may be on a "hot spot", it does not mean they can have access to your house. They are trespassing, just like a living human. How would you handle living strangers wandering through your home?  These spirits are doing this because they are getting away with it.
* do not encourage communication, earth is for the living, not the dead. Giving them attention is the same as inviting them in. I believe over time, without limits, you can also attract non-human energy ~ not a great situation.
* teach your son tools to banish them. He does have this ability, even though he is still a child.

Hope things settle down.

Hi Angela,
I am so sorry for your loss. I think it takes a very, very long time to come to terms with such a tragedy, and even then, I think people just finally get used to a new "normal".  It can never, ever be again as it once was. It isn't fair, it isn't right and it tests the human spirit beyond what many of us will ever have to endure in our lives.
I wonder if you have ever considered a support group? You do need to find other people who will openly talk about your son and life now without him. Please consider this for yourself and other boys.

I agree with mainemom and EVPs.

There does seem to be some connection with continued EVP work and hauntings.
In my experience, I have never come across a spirit who was confused about their death, or who did not know how to "move on". I have met spirits that do not move on because they feel responsible for the people they have left behind. If you believe in an afterlife, then you must believe that your son is in a better place ~a place without fear, and suffering and bliss beyond our comprehension. Loving parents want only good things for their children and that does not change even after death, (ours or theirs). Trust that he is where he needs to be. He will always watch over you and love you, and you will be reunited one day. Trust and love so deeply that you can say goodbye.
Sending prayers and light, Whitelight

Hey Whitley ~
Have we met? I spoke to someone on the phone last spring ~ these stories sound so familiar to me. Weird, if we haven't.
I can do similar things with ghosts, sensing illness, and other things. You are not alone in your fear or frustration. I imagine at times you've even thought "why me"? Or wished everything would just stop.
Hope you are managing to put this all in a safe place and are learning how to switch off when you need a break.
Looking forward to swapping stories ~

Re: sensitives unite!

July 10, 2009 by whitelight

Hey loveandfaith~
Boy can I relate! Listen, I do not know if this will work for you, only giving you what has worked for me. House blessings never worked, crystals, stones or banishings never worked, begging/pleading never worked ~ the only thing that truly has worked and continued to work is getting really pissed off.

Here is what I did. State out loud, in your most confident angry tone (kind of like reaming out a teenager), that you are not going to tolerate this anymore. You have had it, they need to ---- (fill in the blank here) off, that from this day forward, you will not discuss them, you will not acknowledge them, you will not modify your life for them. You are through!

Everyone in the house has to follow this plan. No more discussions, not at home, not in the car, not at a friends house (they can follow you and hear you). In addition, you need to go cold turkey with avoiding all ghost-type shows, books etc. (at least until things stop).

I am sure they will test you over and over (like a toddler would), but stand your ground.

It took months for me, but with persistence, I got them to leave us in peace.

This will be harder for you to do then the rest of your family because you can hear them in your head. Blocking the voices takes practice, just like learning to ride a bike. You only get better the more you do it, but every time they "talk", change the focus. ie., "you need groceries", "isn't it a lovely day", "the cat needs a flea bath", whatever it is does not matter. This may take some redirection that can be awkward at first, but truly will become automatic in time.
Then you will be able to have a day (or longer) of rest from this anytime you want.

If I can do this (my house was a living nightmare), so can anyone.

Hang in there!

Re: KASPR Finally Got Freaked Out By Something..............................HOLY CRAP!!!!!!

May 29, 2009 by whitelight

Wow kaspr! incredible and creepy!
It is interesting reading everyone's perspectives etc.
You running away was a natural human response~ flight or fight~ It was just so startling and unfamiliar. I think most people would react similarly.
I had an creepy experience where a spirit screamed horribly loud into my ear and squeezed my neck. I immediately thought "evil", that is the only explanation for such aggressive behavior. I completely "shut-off" my sensitivity button (not sure how else to describe it) because I was terrified that by opening myself up it might gain entry.  Months later, a series of events occurred that made me come to understand this spirit actually meant no harm at all, that he was in fact just a very, very old man (dead for decades) that really needed a favor and had tried other less extreme measures to get my attention without success.

I'm not suggesting that your visitor is not evil-intended, but I know that often we just do not understand spirit behavior. Frankly, it is tough just understanding living human behavior!
Anyway~ good luck to you, protection from means that you have faith in is always smart.

Re: Crop Circles.........

Lynne, we'll have to think about a special one of a kind design...no copy-cats...hmmm
I can think of a bunch of symbols (smiles) but that might not seem "alien-like".
Any suggestions? The field grass is growing fast!

Re: I swear I am Needing a New Model!

April 24, 2009 by whitelight

Lynne-
Vicodin contains acetaminophen so you may be taking way too much. Make sure no alcohol while you are taking this stuff- increases the risk of liver toxicity. Can you take naproxen (Aleve) in between instead? Just make sure you take Aleve on a full stomach and as directed.  A simple blood test can detect liver issues.
Kidney stones can cause lower abdominal pain.
Do you already have your referral? Two months to wait for a referral is not unusual, but if your doc has not even made the referral- I'd be making a stink! Patients need to be their own advocates. If something does not seem reasonable to you, you need to express that to the doc. Just a wee little advice- if the pain is breaking through 2 vicodin before the 4 hours is up, you need to call the doc or go to the ED. Do not take more pain killers before being evaluated by a physician.

I'll still watch it next week though... (smiles)

Re: Crop Circles.........

I thought crop circles were debunked?  I thought this was all created by a couple of ol' Englishmen? They even demonstrated how to do it without breaking all the wheat or corn stalks.
I should make crop circles...I have a field or two...hee, hee, hee... anyone want to help?

Re: What Happens When You Die?

April 23, 2009 by whitelight

Thanks kaspr I knew you would have info! smile

I think "angel" is an abbreviated version of "angelos" a Greek word for "messenger" or "one who is sent", so technically the word "angel" refers to the job or office they hold - not what they are.
I agree with you, the word "angel" could be used to describe "good" or "evil" - both created by God.
I have heard it said that "Evil" is not so much of a problem, but more of a marvel, and that without it Providence could not regenerate and restore the integrity of things. Take away all evil and you take away the good that goes with it- e.g. charity toward others who are persecuted. The Ying & Yang.
Very interested kaspr. I just love this type of philosophical pondering. Thank you for your input!

Hi MaineMom-
It can be kind of frustrating when tests come back "normal" - on the one hand your happy, but the other, just irritated because no one can find out what is troubling you. I hope you can get some answers soon. Medical Limbo is no place for someone in pain.
I live with chronic (horrible) foot pain- nothing has worked- not even surgery X2. The only thing that really has seemed to help are my krocs- seriously they are solid, very sturdy foam with suede on the top. I wish I could remember where I got them, but you could go to the web site. Anyway- these babies work better than the $160 custom made orthotics I have. I LOVE my krocs! Who cares if I have muppet feet! HA!

Hang in there- always sending positive intentions your way.

Re: What Happens When You Die?

Hey Lisa-
Thank you for plopping the video in. You are sooo smart.
I agree with you that the concepts of good/evil are human- however, that we know of, we really are the only species on the planet with a higher intelligence, and that intelligence gives us the unique ability to decide on socially acceptable and unacceptable behaviors. Animals primarily act on instinct- therefore are not evil.

Kaspr- ever read anything about demonology?I think demons are described as something "other" and are considered "evil" - not human or animal. Any thoughts?

Re: What Happens When You Die?

April 17, 2009 by whitelight

I agree with Lisa- evil comes from within. We have the potential both both. Does one choose their lower nature? or their spiritual nature? The origination of "good" vs. "evil" and exactly why both exists in man is controversial.

I agree that what we do in this lifetime will determine our afterlife. I do not believe that we miraculously "change" just because we died. There are thousands of people who do believe that "asking for forgiveness for sins" is all that is required. It signifies an abandonment of "self" and an acknowledgment of a dependance and trust on a higher nature. Essentially a conversion of spirit from an "evil" nature to a "good" one.
However, there are those that believe in a transition phase after we die. That maybe through no fault of their own- died suddenly before they could have a conversion of heart- end up in a dimension to continue their personal journey toward a higher spirituality.

Lisa- you know first hand of the power of transforming "negative energy" to "positive energy" (Reiki). There is so much we can do to help or hinder each other, and in my opinion, this does not end when we die.
Dr. Emoto tried to demonstrate the effects of good vs. negative energy on water droplets. The results are really fascinating. There is a video clip on UTUBE, but I do not know how to plop it in here- Mainemom is that something you can help me with? Pretty please.....wink

Re: I swear I am Needing a New Model!

Hope your appointment goes well. I am sure the docs are being very careful about your vicodin use, but a word of caution- it is VERY addictive, the more you use pain medication the more resistant you become to it. So what one pill could do, now you need to take three or more to get the same effect. If you need to be on long term pain therapy, you might ask for a referral to see a pain specialist. There are lots of things they can do that are narcotic-free. Not trying to tell you how to live-just concerned.

I think Steve and Tango are my favorite investigators. They are so FUNNY! I am just as interested in their antics as I am about evidence. :-)

Re: What Happens When You Die?

April 16, 2009 by whitelight

I think there are degrees (if you will) of just "bad" people/spirits, and truly "evil" people/entities. Like the difference between someone who cheats a little on their taxes vs. someone putting their neighbor in the wood-chipper...

"Bad" spirits tend to just cause homeowners trouble by doing things to freak them out, while "evil" entities tend to want to take over the entire person, robbing you from everything you are.

I will tell you, to me, they feel VERY energetically distinct.

So where does evil come from?

Re: Poll: Do you believe that watching GHOST SHOWS, Discussing and Talking about the paranormal

April 16, 2009 by whitelight

This poll is very interesting. So far, about 60% people believe that watching ghost/paranormal TV shows etc will increase or create paranormal activity. My next question is;if you are one of the 60%, do you then watch these shows so that you will have paranormal activity, or is it just a side-effect you are willing to put up with to watch?
