WOW! its been so long since I've had internet access and to be welcomed back to the technology world with this congratulations is very heart warming! It has been a whole year. I really cant believe it. It's such an honor to work with the people that dedicate their time to supporting others in need of our services. Lisa B has been there from the very begining and members like whitelight came soon after. Its been so enriching to have you in our lives and working side by side with both of you. Looking back on how much we've grown in such a short period of time it makes me antsy for the future with MGHS. Thank you all for your support as we travel down this road less traveled. It's all of your kind words and questions that keep us out there in the field trying to find the answers.

Its another all night halloween event with Ghost Hunters tonight. I havent watched in so long but I like to catch the halloween episode! Are you guys watching?

Hey guys!
Our forum has really filled out with so many good posts, that i had to add a few catagories! I'm so proud of how far we've come...in less than a year!
I added 3 new topics because I didnt want your cool topics getting lost in the shuffle of announcements and deep conversations etc.

SO....the new topics ARE.........

1. Paranormal TV- where we can talk about the shows we all watch...Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State, Ghostly Encounters, Psychic Kids etc...

2. Paranormal video clips and pictures - you guys post so many awesome vids and pics I wanted to compile them in one spot so they can be found easily!

3. Ghost Hunting equipment- Some cool new stuff seems to be surfaceing int he ghost hunting world. Like the Ovilus i cant get out of my head for some weird reason. So please if you see seomthing new on TV or by surfing around definitely post here. This section will be helpful to new ghost hunters out there too that are doing research. Try not to put more than one item in your posts so we can easily find them at any time :)

It is absolutely true that you can hear them if you just listen. Unfortunately that very concept does not come to most. That’s part of the reason our group exists. The MAIN reason why we exist is to help homeowners who are terrified to be in their own homes. It isnt common knowledge to most how to handle situations like that. This isn’t a thrill seeking adventure for us. This group was founded on the basis of our own experiences as co-founders that nearly drove us out of our home.
Just like you.. "I am a Reiki Master and Teacher but I find that the healing provided is usually way beyond Reiki. I don't ask, I just offer healing to those in need. Just like UPS - deliver the healing energy to those in need." We deliver knowledge and provide counsel to those who have been shaken up by their paranormal experiences.
We use scientific methods and equipment to provide a secondary proof to those who are skeptics. We have several sensitive’s, a psychic, 2 level one reiki practitioners and a Reiki Master on our team. Unfortunately, taking our word for it isn’t enough evidence for everyone. How do those of us with utilizing our sixth sense know that we are correct in what we are sensing or feeling? we have to trust our gut, but scientific evidence to solidify that certainly helps both us as individuals and the homeowners.
Most of our homeowners have already spoken to the spirits in their home before they contact us. They just don’t know where to go from there when that isn’t making a difference.
In our research over the past year, I think it is air to say that we have all concluded that spirits surround us everywhere. No matter where we are etc. If they are trying to make conversation though, we would like to respond if the methods the homeowner is using wont work. When we are "hunting" we are trying to see if they WANT to speak with us using different methods we can provide. Weather its through a medium, clairaudient, the digital voice recorders, ghost box, ovilous, k2 meter...It doesn’t matter to me which method they use, but the options are there for them if they want to use them.
Knowing that the spirits are just the same as you and I ahead of time, it does seem silly to bring the equipment along and say "speak close to the red light". Most times I end up explaining what the equipment is for and they can utilize it if they want to right when we stop for an EVP session.

And I really have been avoiding this subject as long as I could...

That particular joke was made by members of Maine Ghost Hunters...NOT Maine Ghost Hunters SOCIETY. At the time of the joke the co-founders of that group were once part of our group. The details of why they have their own group now and that their name happens to be our name minus the SOCIETY does not need to be discussed. We have rolled with the questions for a few months now since they started (roughly 4 months ago maybe 5) and unfortunately since they chose the same name as us we(both MGHS and MGH) are going to run into some confusion for years to come. They are good investigators, we just approach paranormal investigations in different ways.

Again, Thank you for joining our forum. We hope to hear a lot from you in the future. You seem very knowledgeable in metaphysics and am anxious for what you can share with us. That’s how we all learn and grow.
