The traditional description of angels is quite a bit different than how we think of them now. If I remember correctly they have at least three faces, and not all of them look human, hence the fact that whenever someone saw an angel in the bible they had to be reassured that everything was all right. So it could possibly be what he is seeing.....and in my book once he can explain it, that really isn't a bad thing at all.

This is my favorite time of the year for television...among other things the season stands for, Christian, Jewish, or any other religion. I've come to the conclusion that you can tell a lot about a person by their favorite christmas specials just wondering what everyone else's is. Mine is Charlie Brown....and I drive my wife crazy watching it at least once a week every year from Thanksgiving to Christmas.

Hans Holzer did a few interviews where he talked about people under hypnosis doing past life regressions, and not even being from the same continent, let alone country, have described the exact same thing about the afterlife. According to them, after you die, you "check in", with a clerk and either "sign up" for an assignment, like a muse would finding someone to inspire, or you sign in for re-incarnation. Or you can just hang out and observe things for a while on our side. But after a while, you are given an assignment to either help or hinder a person....depending on who they are. So according to them, their are a set of rules for each "spirit", depending on the specific situation.

I had a dog that was put down four years ago, well after I had moved out of my parents house. The night that my parents had to put him down, my sister, who was going to school in standish, and I, who was living in Augusta, both had little good-bye moments with him. My parents live in Wells, which is 110 miles away from Augusta.....they know who took care of them, and will always check on the important people in life before "crossing the rainbow bridge to Dog Heaven"

It's generally a combination of quartz and granite, with the quartz acting as the conduit. It acts like a tape recorder stuck on repeat. As far as poltergeists there doesn't seem to be much of a connection. In fact with the reclassification of poltergeist activity, that has to do more with repressed psychic ability being acticated by normal teenage angst/stressors than an actual haunting.

Apartment buildings are tricky because of the lack of access to the rest of the building. The biggest thing to remember is that "cracks" can appear in any sort of protected barrier, so some upkeep is needed. I used to have to burn sage and myrrh in an old apartment at least once a week to keep some not so nice things out of my living area.

Here's one that really pulled me into the field after living in a really crappy apartement building with some really creepy neighbors.

I'm having some trouble finding credible information on the subject. I decided that I wasn't going to subject any other members or our group to the dangers involved, but can't seem to wade through all the b.s. on the subject. It seems that one religions God/Godess is anothers Devil/Demon. If anyone can suggest a decent resource I would be forever grateful.

I saw that too and if you feel the need to defend something you're doing, you obviously know that something is wrong with your approach.

Fort Popham is a great big wide open space, but four people could easily cover it.... And we seem to have caught a few pictures their, just as tourists. If I remember correctly, it has a lot of quartz in the granite construction.

I love the fact that the ovilus sounds like the computer from war games. That entire episode of Paranormal State I kept expecting it to as "Would you like to play a game?"

But it's still pretty neat, and the fact that it seems to work more like an empath, in the fact that in dealing with a demon, it didn't want to communicate the purpose it had in the house, but still couldn't hide it. That to me seems to be it's most powerful use.

I grew up down in that area of the state, and there are quite a few stories about people falling off of the cliffs and into the sea. It seems to happen every few years, some tourist doesn't heed the warnings, or pay attention to the yellow line painted on the rocks, and gets taken out by a wave. But I myself haven't heard anything that specific about the hotel itself.

Did any of you see the documentary that Ghost Adventures did for Sci-Fi during the Ghost Hunters sabbaticlal last year? When they finally did see something that was totally awesome, the all peed their pants, and one of the guys went into shock, and wandered around the building they were in for two hours in a state of shock. Then they jumped out of a two story window to get out before the sun came up...........Jay and Grant would not be happy at all.
