As Julie alluded to in another post, we had quite the night at DF on Friday!
I had been investigating the rear corner of the newer portion of the cemetary where we'd had many experiences in the past. I had two guest investigators with me and we'd been hearing many footprints in the area surrounding us and had also heard a woman scream. The volume of that scream was sufficient for John and a third Guest Investigator to hear in the older section of the cemetary. It was time to leave and switch sections but we had asked John if we could join forces since the area was so full of activity. John and his GI hadn't been there long when the vibe changed. It was very charged and felt much colder than it had before they joined us. We also noticed that many times there seemed to be a frigid breeze blowing out of the forest towards us. We were standing there talking about how strange this was, when it got VERY cold between John and I. Moments later, he mentioned that his neck felt hot. I turned my flashlight on him and found what you can see in the pictures. Interesting enough, while we were all looking at the scratches (which puffed up before our eyes) there was an exceedingly loud bang from the direction of the church. It startled us girls and we let out a little scream! LOL It sounded to us like a slamming bulkhead. Julie, Robin and Juli were outside the cemetary on the side of the meetinghouse and to them it sounded like a gunshot and they came running! It was VERY creepy all around!
Here are the pics, as well as attachements of a short video I made when we took John into the Meetinghouse so he could see the scratches for himself as well as the audio from my recorder I had going at that time. Interestingly enough, no evps to be heard! Not even a growl! That thing just came, attacked and went!!!

That still baffles me. No one has ever been scratched on an investigation with us. I think it's safe to say that we've exhausted DFP but man...what a way to go out with a bang...quite literally!
Yeah. I'm not sure I'd go back there. When we went back in at the end of the night I had this uneasiness. Then as you were talking about that shadow person, it turned into an overwhelming sense of dread. I honestly felt like we were all in jeopardy of getting hurt. I've never been actually scared at DF, and I wasn't even when John got attacked, but when we went back in .... I sure was!
I think it was going for the tallest and strongest that night to make the point that we werent welcome. So when we went back and that sense of dread was so potent, it knocked me back because I've never felt uneasy there. I was startled by the shadow guy, but I didnt feel like I was in any danger. Of course happenings like that make me want to go back and see what else happens, but maybe it was sincerely tired of us coming around all the time. Conclusion to DFP case...there are things/spirits there. As for the rock having anything to do with it, I still dont see a correlation, but I suppose it makes for a good ghost stoy. Many people have reported seeing this shadow person there. I'll have to dig out the story written in a book a long time ago. I pee'd when I read it after just experiencing it a week prior.
I think we should go back again after halloween. I'm fairly certain that the spirit was getting riled up because of the time of year. Even Nov. 1, in theory, it should be QUITE different.
I have to agree with Kaspr as well.. Hallow's Eve really brings them out stronger and well awful in more ways then one..
They seem to be more out and about..
But it may be tired of you all coming about and giving you a warning sign as well..
Who knows...
Interesting on the bang sounds like a major gun shot no doubt about that at all!
And that is not the first time you all have had gun shots there either.. remember the one time you caught gun shots on the recorder before wasn't it like two before there..

But I have to agree with Kaspr for whatever reasons things that go bump and are haunted come out more so now..
and around this month.. maybe it has something to do with the moon being blown up LOL :)
Ha! If we do go back.. I'm wearing full body armour!! That was just too freaky...just because it hit on me rather than one of the girls!

But in all seriousness I am glad you are okay and nothing happened to you all too badly...
There is something about DF that I wish we could find more history on that place..
But full body armor would not be a bad idea ;)
