So, I was tooling around the internet just now, looking at "toys" and came across this on ebay.
It claims to be computer software that uses the same principles of an ovilus just using your laptop. Thoughts? It's certainly interesting and at $15 it's much more reasonable than an ovilus!
I havent heard of anyone who has actually used this software, but for the price it is certainly worth playing with....Not quite as portable as an ovilus, but looks to be just as good........
That's what I was thinking. It's not a lot to lose if it stinks!

I think it's a scam. How is your laptop going to scan radio frequencies?? The wireless works in a different way, if I understand it right. Where's our resident tech heads??
It basically says that it creates a radio scan frequency. As I work in electronics, I would have to say that this is a scam as a basic laptop with a wireless card only picks up a certain frequency. I have confirmed this with numerous techs as well. Since paranormal activities happen on different frequencies, there would be no way to get a clear representation like in the EVPs. I think those EVPs are most likely tampered and created on his own or using a different device then just software.

It doesn't say anything about creating or scanning radio frequencies. (I know you can't do that!) Just that the CD runs through a continuous series of fragmented audio clips. It has nothing to do with radio frequencies.
THAT was my question! I'm wondering whether spirits can manipulate energy enough to stop the computer program on specific points like they can stop the radio scan on specific points. I'm not tech savy enough to know whether that's possible. It seems possible to me, just don't know how probable it is!
Well, people have recorded messages on answering machines, computer wordpad, etc. I think anything is possible. I don't believe that the afterlife works on only one frequency which is why you can have several sensitives in a room but they all pick up on something different, not because one is better than the other, but because they pick up on different "frequencies". Perhpas this equipment works the same way picking up on a different frequency or no frequency at all like automatic writing so to speak. I think it would be worth your while to spend the $15 and check it out, or do some online research and see if there is anyone out there who has actually used it.
This just doesn't make any sense to me. It's like the PRS i-pod app that turns your i-pod into an EMF detector. I just don't see how the software can change the physical makeup of the machine.
First of the ad.. i looked at it he only has a 95% on Ebay...be a little worried on that alone.. means a lot of negatives.. not good.. for whatever reasons...
Then there is no picture of the thing he is talking about.. you would think if they are sending something for your computer or something like this.. it would be pictured..
I don't know I would be a little concerned and do some looking around the net see if anyone else is selling these little hot items and using them as well :) Just some thoughts. :)

And i don't see anyone having yet to use it yet.. on line.. any reports of how it worked..
It personally sounds like a scam to me....I can't imagine how it would work. The Ovilus takes physical readings of temp, emf and other things. How can a computer do this? It just does not make sense.
