Unbelievable They Say It Comes in Threes....But why is that??
And I guess it does.. started with the death of Ed McMahon and then Farrah Fawcett...and now of all people Micheal Jackson!
I was in shock when I heard of Farah Fawcett dying...and of all things the same day as Micheal Jackson...one in the morning and one in the afternoon....
Unbelievable...
I was really in shock when I heard of Micheal Jackson passing.. I thought oh yah right another publicity stunt... for a concert to get attention or something or a false rumour...yah right...amazingly it wasn't ..
But I wonder if Micheal Jackson will rest in peace..... as he was just starting to do a concert in London, 50 shows and all and some other things he left undone... should be interesting...
Just thought I share...some thoughts..
But most of all my question is:
Why is it it seems death comes in threes????
I mean when my mother in law died...there was two others that died on her side of the family like not even a week later.....
So why does it come in threes... not only for celebs...but even families...just wondering anyone know why??
I guess I am putting this question in Theories.. as it seems to be a theory in a way... I don't know where else to put it.. thanks for answering in Advance.. just like to hear your take on why death does seem to come in threes....
I don't think it actually comes in threes. Yesterday approximately 6700 people died. It just so happened that out of that huge number three of them were famous. The thought that bad things come in threes is such a well known thing that we would recognize it as being somehow related to three no matter what the number. If two bad things happen we wait for a third, when it comes we say, "Ha, bad things happen in threes!" When four bad things happen we say, "Bad things come in threes, but we got a fourth one to reverse our luck." Three is no more of an unlucky number than Friday the 13. If you were in Bulgaria you would think that good things happened in threes and twos was unlucky (they believe even numbers to be the number of death, that is why you never give someone from Bulgaria a dozen flowers, always give them 11 or 13). It is basically cultural and how you look at things.
Also, 6700 is not evenly divided by three, so someone must be dying without two partners.

Yah we seem to have lost now a football star and someone else that was with him...now it just seems to happen in threes... though I guess with celebrities more then anything...

and three were known people i missed that in the news...
But as far as 3 as an unlucky number I never thought of it as an unlucky number or the number 13 but I don't receive a dozen roses...or flowers because to me that means that I am ONE of Many... that is my belief.. plus if anyone buys me roses they have to be black.. I don't care for Roses and rather like Black roses because they are unique.. :) Just like ME!
The concept of "threes" has been around for a long time. In religion the holy trinity is based on three, and in demonology things that happen in three are said to be mocking the holy trinity. I think things happen in three because people expect it to happen, if Michael hadn't died we would have found some other obscure semi-famous person that died recently to fulfill the "prophecy" that says it comes in threes. Funny how the mind can be trained that way..........lol
You are probably right Lisa we just expect it...
So it does.. interesting how our minds get so trained and so easily :)
