Hello Sharon. Perhaps you could teach me something. I am highly sensitive, however have only gotten one name from a spirit (It was verified by another sensitive who got the same name without communication between the two of us). I know you might not be able to answer the following with more than a "it just comes to me," but do you know how to get names and other information from spirits? The only other time I got information was when I physically channeled a girl in Oregon (fmi see my post on mediums). I would like to be able to enhance my skills if possible. Thank you.

For me it actually does just come to me. Usually like pictures in my head, then I an hear certain information and then it is emotions being projected. The longer I stay with one particular subject at a time, the more I get. The best way to get a name is to ask. Sometimes people forget to do that ONCE contact is actually made. They do it leading up to contact but not once established.

Some people can pick up on names, others have a harder time. Not sure why that happens. In my family we seem to get actual information that we can they use to verify further.

I would work on relaxing, connecting to one spirit at a time. Let them know that you are there to listen and to help if you can. Then go from there...spirits are just people without bodies, you have to build the trust.

It's been awhile since anyone has posted here, so I hope that I am posting in the right spot. I look for theories and possibly answers for this from every source I can find.
I'll start with Louie. He never thought that he had any "extroadinary" gift, until about 6 months ago. We were part of a paranormal investigation team at the time, or at least thats what they called themselves. Different story. Anyways, the leader was dead-set (excuse the pun) on doing an exorcism at a school that the team had previously investigated. Louie and I did not feel right about this at all. I contacted our minister, and he told us to attend, but to remember why we were there....to help, not to hurt. And NOT to take part in the exorcism. We were on our way to drop the kids off about 2 hours before we were to join up with everyone, when all of the sudden, it felt like a mac truck hit me. It was the wierdest feeling. It was like complete despair and fear all at the same time. It was so powerful, I started to wretch. I remember something, almost like a thought, trying to come through, but it was almost like a radio station that you can't quite get to come in. Words were jumbled or broken, or not there. All I could clearly get was, "how can you make us leave if you haven't given us a place to go?" and also, the feeling of extreme fear of being judged. Anyways, Louie saw and heard everything, or as much as I could get out to him. He started rubbing the back of my neck, and a few seconds after he stopped, I had a feeling of buoyancy, and some relief. I turned my head to look around, and I saw that he had his hand over the back of my head, but not quite on it. I asked what he was doing, and he said,"nothing."
I told him what had happened, and he told me that it was wierd, but he all of the sudden felt like he had a mission. He said that he couldn't tell me exactly what it was, but he thought that he would know when the time came.
We got to the school, and were directed over to the owners home. We found out that 2 other teams had been invited to join, which seemed odd to me, as I would have thought that something as serious as an exorcism would not be put on display like a show. I insisted to our group leader that we shouldn't do it, and told her what happened. She told me she was going to do it anyway, and said that whatever it was was trying to manipulate me. I don't believe this at all.
Anyways, the other groups stayed at the school while we went to the home. We would be doing a blessing at the home. Before it started, Louie told me, the wife and the two kids to go upstairs, and he followed. He went around to each of us, held our hands, and looked like he was concentrating really hard. I asked him what he was doing, and he just said..."I don't know."
The blessing went fine, and we went back to the school. As soon as we got back, one of the sensitives asked what we were doing at exactly 8 p.m. We thought about it, and we had not started the blessing at that point. The owner remembered that 8 oclock was the time that Louie had brought the mother, children and myself upstairs. We asked why, and she said that at that time there was a major "pressure change" at the school. We still don't know what she meant, but have always found it wierd.
Now, he is like a kid in a candy store. He knows that he can evoke a tingling sensation without even touching me. He will wake me out of a sleep...I'll look up, and he will be sitting over me, his hand hovering above my chest. It's really quite annoying at times, actually :P
Mine is not as impressive. Throughout my life, I can walk into some places, and feel a heavyness, almost like a thick density. It doesn't happen at all places, but sometimes it is so strong that it will actually draw me to a room. It's wierd. Iv'e been brave enough at times to ask people if they have ever experienced anything"strange," and they look at me like I have 2 heads, and start spitting out stories.
Anyways, sorry about the short novel, but I am very curious if anyone else has experienced anything like this.I  think we both would like to get some sort of clarity.

I have experienced a lot of those things: the heavyness, the pressure, the strange feeling, the voices, everything. I didn't have the same exact experience as you, but if you read my post in Scariest Personal Experiences, you will see what I went through in a similar situation.

My suggestion to you is to continue to develop those skills. When you get the heavyness, ask it to show itself (sometimes it will sometimes it won't).

I have thought about that, but sometimes it feels almost oppressive. I did read it, did you say that normally that doesnt happen in your room? other than the re-arranging, I wonder what would cause whatever it is to get curious about what is up there? From the path you said that it left, it's almost as if it were snooping around, but that is just speculation on my part

Pressure Change I am thinking the spirits changed the pressure maybe because they did something at that time.. knowing what was coming.. did the blessing or the removal work on their part?
Did it work on your part the blessing of the home? Is it quiet there now or still the same?
I am just curious.

I agree with Fishie.. grow your gifts don't suppress them...and sometimes gifts will come with more increased investigations...so i have heard anyways.. so you never know you all may have these gifts from the investigations you all do you are getting more sensitive which is kewl too! :)

The owners said that there were things still active in the school after...the team owner told them that the blessing and exorsism just rid the house and school of "negative" entities....I most certainly could be wrong, but I never knew that one could perform a selective exorcism or house blessing. "In the name of all that is Holy, leave this place NOW......bad spirits. Good spirits, you can stay. There's a six pack in the fridge, have at it!"

The only thing missing from that particular question, is the fact that most demonic entities reference Legion, and being cast into the pigs. All six hundred and sixty-six of them

I never thought of a selective exorcism and/or house blessing either.. but who knows.. maybe there is never attended one but you would think it would rid of everything in the house.. you know..

I am not a sensitive, but from the experience I had, I don't believe that there was anything demonic or negative in the building. As I wrote above, I don't believe that an exorcism or "clearing" was the right thing to do. Even though the messages were unclear, nothing about Legion or pigs ever surfaced.

As far as the exorcism only focusing on the negativity, I was unaware that could be done. I think that she explained that the positive entities could choose to stay or go...I was always under the impression that an exorcism was a means of forcefully expelling an area of all paranormal activity.

I think that Louie saw my comment yesterday, so hopefully I'm safe....for now lol

Well L and M I thought the same thing.. you excercise everything out.. negative, positive...everything goes.. like a whirlwind in a tunnel or something they all go poof!
that is what I always thought too so I guess I am learning something new with you all.
Because I always thought Exorcisms did all of it.. nothing left.. done..

Exorcisms do generally take everything out. But, in most rituals, you're trying to replace a negative with a positive. You're calling on the "forces of light", to take the place of the "forces of darkness." That way you don't have a void, that anything could come into, and trying to control the energy.

hey everyone,  its been a while since i have been on had a lot of health issues going on in the family thankfully almost completely resolved, but I have an issue that i was wondering if i could get help addressing.  i had the hardest time getting my daughter (4 1/2) to go to bed tonight and it took almost 2 hours to get her to even go in her room or out of my eye sight.  Turns out that she was visited by someone (i haven't figured out who yet) who darted past my husband scared my cat causing him to swat at it and went into my daughters room.  the one thing that she keeps saying is "i'm afraid of the ghost and it's white eyes. He scares me"  i don't know how to explain to her what is going on without causing more fear.  I am trying to get all the details about what happened and according to my husband it kept opening his stereo cabinet then darted down to our daughters room and covered her up with her blankets he informed me about this at 3 am and i dismissed it (how dumb is that) because i just wanted to sleep and didn't want to have to plug into anything and be up all night long dictating to him who it is and what they want.  i told him not to worry about it and went back to sleep.  later on after he had come to bed our bedroom door opened all the way.  this has been a normal occurance the past few months the door knob rattling like someone is trying to open it, the foot steps and the door opening all the way.  at first i thought it was my cats but when i started checking it both cats were at the other end of the trailer sleeping so i would close the door and go back to sleep.  no biggie for me things like this have been happening since i was a little girl, but my husband had never experienced anything til his dad came to visit after he died.  my daughter on the other hand has never had any experiences until last night after my husband saw a yellowish figure about the size of an 6-8 year old child dart into my daughters room.  when he had gone by earlier she was completely uncovered and after that he went to check on her and she was covered, but the cat was starring at the bed and swatting at something on the bed. 

I just don't know what to say.  I don't want her to be afraid, but i'm afraid to tell her what I know because she has yet to not tell everyone everything she sees or hears.  What do you tell a child who is afraid to get 3 feet away from you.  I just wish that I knew what to say or do,  i don't know how to control what is going on with my abilities, which i know i need to do to make things easier for my family. i just wish that i was certain of what i hear in order to set the appropriate boundaries for the sanity of my home.
